The Novel Page: “The Library of Amorlin” by Kalyn Josephson

Book Reviews by Sherrie Kleitch

Kasira is a con artist serving as a soldier to work off her debt to society.

She does not particularly enjoy this type of work, but finds it preferable to the windowless cell she used to occupy.

When she is presented with the con of a lifetime, she eagerly seizes the opportunity, leading her to the Library of Amorlin — a place of magic and mystery.

The librarian of Amorlin, Allaster, holds many secrets and is very distrustful of Kasira, making her job more difficult than she imagined. The library, with all its magic, begins to appeal to her, adding to the complications.

This fantasy story is written in a way that clearly paints an imaginative world with complex twists and turns.

I highly recommend it for late teen to adult readers due to violence and some language.
