Woman injured in single-vehicle crash

LYNN TWP. — An Armada woman suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Lynn Township on Thursday, July 9. 

A Chevrolet Blazer was traveling northeast on Sterling Road around 4:30 p.m. when her vehicle left the roadway, north of Norman Road. 

The vehicle traveled in a ditch on the east side of the road for several feet, striking a culvert before slamming into a grove of trees. The impact brought down several large branches on top of the vehicle. 

Two motorists who were passing by the incident shortly after the crash stopped to assist the driver, prior to the arrival of the sheriff department and other rescue personnel. 

Tri-Hospital EMS treated the woman on the scene. 

Also responding were a sheriff’s deputy and Brockway Fire and Rescue.
