Yale celebrates homecoming with annual parade, coronation

YALE — Yale High School marked its annual Homecoming festivities Friday night with a vibrant community parade down Park Avenue, culminating in the halftime crowning of the 2026 Homecoming Royalty.

The evening’s parade featured the Yale High School marching band leading the procession, accompanied by cheerleaders across all age groups rallying support for the Bulldogs. Local highlights included Grand Marshals Steve and Nikki McIntyre greeting spectators en route to Yale City Park, parade floats pulled by local agriculture equipment, and international representation from the district’s foreign exchange students displaying their home countries’ flags. Members of the Yale varsity football team were escorted through the route aboard two Brockway Township fire engines.

During halftime ceremonies at the Friday night game, seniors Lillian Bender and Isaac Wheatley were officially crowned Homecoming Queen and King.
