A Novel Page: “Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail” by Cheryl Strayed
Cheryl Strayed recounts her solo journey along the Pacific Crest Trail, an adventure she began while searching for herself after the untimely death of her mother.
This memoir shares her struggles and triumphs with raw honesty and beautiful writing that readers can easily become lost in.
This is one of my all-time favorite books, perhaps because I could relate to the experience of trying to find oneself after enduring tremendous heartache. It gave me hope for my future during a time when I had very little left. It also allowed me to dream and helped me rediscover my love for hiking in the mountains.
I highly recommend this memoir for women who want to explore life’s possibilities, as well as other adult readers due to its mature content.
