Fremont Twp. sidewalk chalk contest showcases local talent

Colorful works of art lined the sidewalks as Fremont Township Parks and Recreation welcomed local families to its annual sidewalk chalk contest on June 13.

FREMONT TWP. — Colorful works of art lined the sidewalks as Fremont Township Parks and Recreation welcomed local families to its annual sidewalk chalk contest on June 13.

Participants of all ages gathered to showcase their creativity while enjoying refreshments, friendly competition and community fellowship.

The contest featured four age divisions: 0-6, 7-12, 13-17 and 18 and older, giving artists of every generation an opportunity to participate. Winners in each category received prizes generously donated by local businesses.

Community sponsors included Taco Bell, ChoiceOne Bank, Bull Dog Lounge, C-Roy’s Inc., McDonald’s, A&W Restaurant, Sunrise Convenience Store, and Mark’s Barber Shop, whose contributions helped make the event a success.

The annual contest offered a fun way for families to spend time together while celebrating creativity and the support of the local community.
