Local attorney releases crime thriller series
ST. CLAIR COUNTY — Michigan attorney, U.S. Navy veteran, and novelist Stacia Davis Miller has released the complete Bryce Taylor Trilogy, a psychological crime thriller series examining the complicated boundaries between justice and revenge, loyalty and betrayal, and right and wrong.
With a professional background spanning military service, law enforcement, and the practice of law, Miller brings a distinctive perspective to stories about human behavior, difficult decisions, and the consequences of crossing moral boundaries.
“No situation or person is black or white all the time,” Miller explains. “We all think, live, and exist in various shades of grey. What people do in that middle ground is what I find fascinating. It’s where right isn’t, but wrong isn’t either.”
The trilogy begins with “Roofied,” in which a devastating crime sets four friends on a path that challenges their understanding of justice. What begins as a search for accountability becomes something far more dangerous as the consequences of their choices unfold.
The story continues in “An American Terrorist” and concludes in “Of Friends and Enemies,” exploring the increasingly complex relationships, loyalties, and decisions of characters who discover that the line between justice and vengeance is rarely clear.
Rather than presenting conventional heroes and villains, Miller challenges readers to consider how ordinary people respond to extraordinary circumstances, and whether doing the wrong thing for the right reasons can ever truly be justified.
All three novels are available in paperback through WBN Press, an independent publishing company. The books are also being released in electronic editions. In addition to her writing career, Miller continues to practice law in Michigan and is developing additional fiction projects.
