The Novel Page: “Foster” by Claire Keegan

This novella follows a short period in a young girl’s life when she is sent to live with Mr. and Mrs. Kinsella.
The thought-provoking story never reveals her name as she experiences a stable home life unlike any she has ever known.
As opposed to many stories centered around foster children being mistreated, this one quietly portrays simple acceptance and gentle love seen through the eyes of a child.
I highly recommend this story to all readers.
